just arm-chairin', it but as I was watching the game last night I was wondering why JIB doesn't use a short passing game more. when we play a team like CW or Lee we really need that short passing game to compliment our running game. a short 3 yard pass to keep the chains moving would work wonders in our offense. seems almost every throw is 10yds or longer, tryiing to hit the td pass and catch.

It seems that every HS team is like that. Union has the same problem most of the time, they forget that a pass does not have to be 50 yards downfield to be successful.

Except CW. It's rare we throw one past the LOS.

LOVE THE DRAW! I say run it 8 out of 10 times. Tell them you're running it and still run it. When I played they actually had all of us (OL) yell pass when we ran it.

I noticed we mixed some things up last night with the way we run things. I was guessing wrong a few times when I'm usually right. That was good to see.

Seen that draw several times over the years. Alot of the time it is more than 10 yards and everyone wants to rush the qb. Next thing you know the ball is 15 yards downfield.
We'll keep the lights on for you.

    Re: J.I. Burton - Clintwood

The play at the goaline on the punt was a big play IMO. Burton was down one score and just came off a huge TD pass so we had a little momentum. Starting at the 20 vs the 1 was huge. With a little Mo and a couple of big pass plays we could have had the lead so I wouldn't say JIB was completely out of it. When we coughed up the ball on the 1 and CW scored then it was over. But all the way up until that series we were doing okay, getting man handled on the line but when you are able to score in less than a minute with a couple of big passes then you are never out of it, especially being down 1 score.

Congrats to the Clintwood kids on a well played game and extremely hard fought.

I've been hearing a that Miles has a bad eye injury. Can anyone conform his injury as to the extent of it. I hope the young man is ok.

He'll be alright. Bruised the tissue surrounding his eye, which I'm sure is incredibly painful but I think he will be fine to play against Johnson Co. Friday.
